BASIC FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONS: Using the CROSS-CUT Function
5-11
5.8 Using the CROSS-CUT Function
This function is used to cross-cut the media laterally to enable the completed
design to be separated from the roll.
CUTTING POSITION
The media is cut at a distance of 15 mm from the last data position. The minimum
length from the start of the design to the cutting position is 40 mm.
CUTTING WIDTH
Cross-cutting is performed from the point that is 92 mm outside the left pinch roller
to the point that is 32 mm outside the right pinch roller. Make sure that the media
is loaded within this range.
GUIDELINES FOR REPLACING THE CROSS-CUTTING UNIT
• Film with a paper backing sheet: 1000-mm media width: Approx. 3000 sheets
(CT01H)
• Film with plastic backing sheet: 1000-mm media width: Approx. 3000 sheets
(CT01H)
Auto Cross-cutting
The media is cut automatically after the cutting or plotting operation has been
completed.
