Description
Use the passive command to set the data transmission mode to passive.
Use the undo passive command to set the data transmission mode to active.
The default transmission mode is passive.
Data transmission modes fall into the passive mode and the active mode:
 Active mode: the data connection request is initiated by a server.
 Passive mode: the data connection request is initiated by a client. This command
is mainly used in conjunction with a firewall to restrict the FTP session connection
between private and public network users.
Examples
Set the data transmission mode to passive.

FTP: passive is on
