7.4 Autoclaving
Autoclaving accelerates the ageing process of plas-
tics. In addition, it can cause discolourations in plas-
tics.
The slide-in modules, drawers, support rails, telescope rails, latching
rails and plates in the interior can be autoclaved at 121°C / 250°F
(20 Min).
Before autoclaving, these parts must be removed from the interior.
Nothing denitive can be said about the degree of sterility.
7.5 Maintenance
WARNING
There is a risk that the sample temperature control will
be faulty
.
There is a risk that the temperature control of micro-
biological samples is not correct, which could result in
a misinterpretation of the test results or the destruc-
tion of the samples.
− Have maintenance and calibration done.
In order to ensure the longevity and error-free running of the incu-
bator
, the incubator should be maintained at regular intervals by the
manufacturer or personnel authorized by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer offers maintenance contracts for this purpose. The
operating company is obligated to make sure that the maintenance is
carried out by an authorized service technician.

After 2 years, a message appears automatically with a notice about
the incubator being maintained by a service technician from the man-
ufacturer. The user can make the message disappear; afterwards,
the message appears again at yearly intervals. Once maintenance is
performed by the service technician, the time period until the mes-
sage appears again is set to 2 years.
