10.2.2 How to Clean and Disinfect the Device Driver and Remote Control
• Disconnect the console from the electrical power source.
• After each use, clean the reusable device driver using a soft, damp cloth and mild
detergent. Wipe dry.
• After cleaning, use a pre-moistened disinfectant wipe or apply a disinfectant solution
to a clean cloth. Wipe all surfaces with the wipe or wet cloth, observing appropriate
contact (wet) times. Refer to General Information on page 99 for recommended
disinfecting solutions.
• Do not spray cleaning or disinfectant solutions directly on the reusable device driver,
the remote control, or other parts of the Brevera breast biopsy system.
• Do not immerse the reusable device driver in liquid.
10.2.3 How to Clean and Disinfect the Tissue Filter Drawer
• Disconnect the console from the electrical power source.
• After each use, clean the tissue filter drawer using a soft, damp cloth and mild
detergent. Wipe dry.
• After cleaning, use a pre-moistened disinfectant wipe or apply a disinfectant solution
to a clean cloth. Wipe all surfaces with the wipe or wet cloth, observing appropriate
contact (wet) times. Refer to General Information on page 99 for recommended
disinfecting solutions.
• Do not spray cleaning or disinfectant solutions directly in the drawer or other parts
of the Brevera breast biopsy system.
10.2.4 How to Clean the Imaging Display
• Disconnect the console from the electrical power source.
• Use care when you clean the outer surface of the display area.
• Always use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the display area. Microfiber cloths,
available at most stores, are recommended.
• Use a pre-moistened disinfectant wipe or apply disinfectant solution to a clean cloth.
Wipe all surfaces with the pre-moistened wipe or wet cloth, observing appropriate
contact (wet) times. Refer to General Information on page 99 for recommended
disinfecting solutions.
• Strong chemicals and abrasives can damage the display window and should never be
used.
• Never apply pressure to the display window.
• Never use a spray or flow a liquid onto the display.
• Never use steel wool.
• Never use a sponge with abrasives.
