Problem
Possible Cause
Suggested Action
System does not
respond to the Arm
Button.
Incorrect mode selected.
Select Biopsy Mode.
Remote malfunction.
Replace the device driver.
System does not
respond to the
footswitch.
Incorrect mode selected.
Select Biopsy Mode.
Footswitch malfunction.
Replace the footswitch.
Biopsy device makes
unusual noises
during procedure.
The biopsy needle is not properly
connected to the device driver.
Remove the biopsy device from the
patient and disassemble it (refer to
Conclude Tissue Acquisition on page 82).
Place the device driver on the console.
If cores are present, place the cap on the
tissue filter, and place the tissue filter in
formalin.
Make sure that the device driver is
homed by pressing the button on
the Technologist Display when
prompted to do so. Install a new needle.
Make sure the needle is properly
attached to the device driver.
If this does not work, try a new driver.
