the imaging system.
3. Confirm that the system is ready to perform a biopsy procedure.
• Confirm that the system is free of any error messages.

acquisition: (the biopsy device has been fired, the footswitch has not been
depressed) Manually inject anesthetic via syringe and rotate the thumbwheel to
allow 360 degrees of access.
• To manually administer anesthetic to the area of interest during tissue
acquisition: (the biopsy device has been fired, the footswitch has been depressed)
place the system in Standby mode to close the aperture. Manually inject
anesthetic via syringe and rotate the thumbwheel to allow 360 degrees of access.
Once complete, return the system to Biopsy mode to continue tissue acquisition.
