7.5 Attach the Introducer to the Biopsy Device
1. With the system in Standby mode, remove the protective sheath from the biopsy
needle.
2. Carefully slide the introducer over the needle of the biopsy device. Advance the hub
of the introducer up to the device driver.

WARNING!
Make sure to use an aseptic technique when attaching the introducer to
prevent contamination.
3. Orient the introducer to select a petite or standard aperture. For an aperture of
20 mm, the 20 mm mark on the introducer lines up with the long mark on the device
driver. Rotate the introducer 180° for an aperture of 12 mm, where the 12 mm mark
on the introducer lines up with the short mark on the device driver.
