address compare inactive. You can cancel
an
address
compare simply by typing a non-hexadecimal character in
the first digit location.
This function has some limitations:
It
is
only
an
instruction compare stop and
not
a data
compare stop.
The
address entered must
be
the address of the start of
the instruction. Entering
an
address in the middle of an
instruction could cause the program to have
unpredictable results.
It
only works with addresses in real
370
storage (as
opposed to virtual addresses).
