The following figure illustrates the process of measurement for step mode.

When using immediate triggering, the instrument runs the next list step after sending the measure
complete signal. However, when using external, bus, or manual triggering, the instrument moves on
to the next list step until a measure complete signal is generated and a trigger-in signal is received. If
a trigger signal is received when the instrument is in a source-delay-measure cycle or dwell period,
the trigger signal is ignored.
