7.5 Manual jog of winding sha
In manual mode, the line is inched manually. In manual mode, a linear speed [mm/s] is speci-
ed. This linear speed determines the circumferenal speed at the reel.
The feed constant has the unit [mm/r] and is not constant for the winder, because the circum-
f
erence of the winder changes with the current diameter. The actual speed of the winding
sha depends on the following parameters:

When inching mode is requested, the Actual diame
ter must correspond to the real actual
diameter. Otherwise, this will result in an unexpected speed at the winding sha.

In inching mode, the winder’s operaon is speed-controlled. When material has
been insert
ed in speed-controlled operaon and the dancer is moving to the
limit posions, the material may tear or slack.
The
direcon of rotaon of the winding sha is inuenced by the material feeding. The mate-
