7.15.1.2 Monitoring based on the dancer posion
In
addion to web monitoring, which operates on the basis of the direcon of the diameter
change, web breaks can also be considered the most likely cause of the dancer reaching the
lower limit posion during operaon in the case of dancer posion-controlled winders.
The method on which the web break monitoring is based is dened in the parameter Method
of web break monitoring. 40x5051:073

18 TRUE A web break is detected
when the Eecve actual
dancer posion falls below
the Threshold for lower
dancer posion when the
dancer control is acve.

Alternavely, the web
break monitoring can
also be based on detect-
ing changes in the diame-
ter. When the diameter
changes in a direcon dif-
ferent to the one expec-
ted, web break monitor-
ing is triggered.

The web break monitoring is acvated by seng bit 24 = TRUE in the parameter Con

When a web break has been detected, bit 24 = TRUE is set in the parameter Status signal.
