The speed and velocity are calculated using only mean values, not momentary values. The
number of revoluons is determined by the parameter Number of revoluons for standard
diame
ter calculaon. 40x5051:070
For normal operaon, the angle of rotaon of the winder, via which the mean value is deter-
mined, is given by the seng in the parameter Number of revoluons for standard diameter
calculaon. Each me this angle has been passed through, the diameter is recalculated.
For process-related reasons, it may somemes be necessary to switch to shorter calculaon
instances due to e.g. thick materials or misshapen reels. The shorter distance is dened in the
parameter Number of
revoluons for fast diameter calculaon. 40x5051:071
By
seng bit 23 = TRUE, the calculaon interval is switched over to the rapid calculaon
mode with the shorter distance. 40x5050:010 Bit

The shorter distance is automacally acvated by loading a start diameter. The state is main-
tained unl a new diameter is calculated.
The funcon is required when the real diameter of the reel diers from the loaded diameter.
The winding sha will only rotate with the wrong diameter over a short distance. Aer the
diameter calculaon, a corrected diameter will be available.
The parameters Min. reel diameter and Max. reel diameter must be dened as basic parame-
ters.
•
Min. r
eel diameter 40x5051:016
•
Max. reel diameter 40x5051:017
These two values act as limit values. The value set in the parameter Ma
x. reel diameter simul-
taneously acts as the reference value for the percentage diameter specicaon. 40x5051:017
