7.6 Synchronisaon to line speed
In the case of commissioning without material, a simple speed follower funcon is used. This
speed f
ollower funcon checks whether the axis follows the master value at the expected
speed, including when the diameter changes.
The expected speed is calculated as follows:

As test equipment, a manual tachometer is placed on the outer circumference of the winder.
This manual t
achometer displays the circumferenal speed. The circumferenal speed is com-
pared with the speed shown in the parameter Actual line velocity. 40x5051:009
The parameters Acceleraon to synchronize to line velocity and Deceleraon to synchronize
to line velocity determine the acceleraon and deceleraon behaviour.
Parameters for the acceleraon and deceleraon behaviour:

The Actual diame
ter must correspond to the actual diameter when the speed follower func-

When the value stored in the parameter Actual diame
ter does not correspond
to the actual diameter, the winding sha may be rotated at an unexpected

synchronisaon of the winder axis with the line speed is performed with bit 16 = TRUE of
the parameter Control signals. 40x5050:010
Bit 16 = TRUE of the parameter St
atus signals indicates that the synchronisaon is complete.
