When using the ADF:
• Load the document into the ADF tray faceup, short edge
first
• Load up to 50 sheets of plain paper into the ADF tray
• Scan sizes from 105 x 148 mm (4.1 x 5.8 inches) wide to
216 x 355 mm (8.5 x 14 inches) long
• Scan media weights from 14 to 31 lbs
• Do not load postcards, photos, small items,
transparencies, photo paper, or thin media (such as
magazine clippings) into the ADF tray. Place these items
on the scanner glass.
When using the scanner glass:
• Place a document facedown on the scanner glass in the
corner of the green arrow
• Scan or copy documents from 216 x 296.9 mm (8.5 x 11.69
inches) dimension
• Copy books up to 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) thick
