Replacing Film Break Receiver or Transmitters
The film break system works by two radio transmitters (the plastic caps mounted on each
dispenser) sending a signal to the receiver (the black box mounted on the machine).
There are two different type transmitters, ”O” and “E”
Two of the same type transmitters will not work on the machine.
The type, O or E is stamped on the plastic here.
If the receiver or either of the transmitters are replaced,
the transmitter signal will need to be programmed into the receiver.
To do this the receiver needs to be switched into learning
mode by switching on the control box and holding a
magnet over the centre of the receiver for 2 seconds until
the red light comes on.
Warning: Make sure the tractor is switched off.
Next, hold one of the transmitters in your hand and rapidly,
keep sliding a magnet across the length of the flat surface.
Note: This can also be done by rotating the aluminium
rollers when the transmitters are fitted to the machine but it
is much easier to programme when standing beside the
receiver with the transmitter in your hand.

Transmitter
When sliding the magnet, it can take up to 20 seconds before the red light will start to flash.
When it starts flashing, keep moving the magnet across the surface until the light changes to a
very rapid flash, then stop.
Then immediately
slide the magnet over the second transmitter until the light flashes rapidly as
before. (Again there could be a 20 second delay before there is any response)
After the rapid flashes for the second transmitter there will be a 1 second pause, then two more
flashes. These two additional flashes show that programming is completed and stored.
Check the magnets on the dispenser gears are ok and fit the transmitters to the machine.
To check, rotate either of the aluminium dispenser rollers and the red
light should flash.
