McHale Fusion 2 round baler wrapper technical service manual
Issue 1: 0208
Function
In an Auto cycle the net feed clutch feeds net into
the chamber for 3 seconds at the start of netting.
The remainder of the net is pulled in by the rotating
bale.
In manual mode the net feed clutch is energised
whilst the net button is held.
The clutch can only be energised when the net cut
sensor is open; net must not feed when knife is
tripped.
Testing
In manual mode pushing the net button should
energise the clutch and an audible click should be
heard. If the clutch does not operate the net cut
sensor should be checked.
The clutch can also be energised from within the
output test section of the input/output test menu.
A protection diode is fitted in the loom (F) feeding
the clutch to safeguard against reverse voltage
surges.
See Input/Output test section 11.8 and wiring
diagrams 11.5.
11.2.1: Net feed clutch
Function
The bottom door sensor is a reed sensor that closes
when the bottom chamber door is in the fully raised
position.
If this sensor fails closed circuit the chamber may not
open fully as the control box gets an open signal too
soon.
If this sensor fails open circuit the chamber may
pause for a few seconds in the fully open position as
the program reverts to a time delay.
Testing
This sensor can be monitored from within the Input/
Output test menu.
The sensor closes when a magnet is placed close to
it’s front face.
See Input/Output test section 11.8 and Sensor
testing section 11.4.
