Issue 1: 0208
1. Tighten M16 (A) lock nut, to remove
tension from wrapping ring.
2. Remove the brake hose from the
brake cylinder.
3. Remove the complete brake
assembly from machine by loosing
the 2 x M10 bolts (B) & dropping
down the complete assembly 7
withdraw.
4. Remove the cylinder by unscrewing
the 2 Allen head bolts (C) & the M12
nut holding on the pad.
5. If the cylinder rod end (i.e. M12
thread) is bent or damaged, then the
threaded piece should be cut off and
drilled with a 10.5 mm drill bit to a
depth of 25 mm & tapped with a
M12 tap. An M12 x 25 Allen head
bolt can then be used to secure the
new pad onto the rod.
6. Remove all the paint from the rod at
the area where the bushing goes
over the rod.
7. Both of the new pads can now be
fitted & continue the reassembly of
the unit.
8. After the unit has been replaced on
the machine adjust the two M10
bolts (D) to the setting 12-13 mm as
shown.
9. Refit the brake hose & loosen M16
lock nut (A) to give a gap of 3 mm to
allow for wear in the brake pads.
10.Check for correct operation by
operating the ring rotation and
watching the brake lifting before ring
starts to move & brake being applied
between 1-5 seconds after ring
rotation stops.
Turn off and remove key from
tractor, before working on, or
performing maintenance on
themachine.
