Data bit length : 7 bits, 8 bits
Parity bit : Non, Even, Odd
Stop bit : 1 bit, 2 bits
Terminator : CR+LF
Communication method : Half duplex
Synchronous method : Start−stop synchronous method.
Transmission data : ASC II code
Input/output monitor with LED

Procedures of data transfer
There are two kinds of data transfers in the instrument, that is, Stream mode and Command
mode.
(1)
Stream Mode
The latest data Targeted/selected with FUNC−28 keeps on outputting. However, output times
may differ depending on the setting of display times and also the setting of baud rate.
(2)
Command Mode
By sending the determined command/data from the host(Personal computer, sequencer and so
on) to CSD−814B, data will be sent back to host side from CSD−814B corresponding to the
command/data.
Be sure to execute communication according to the below procedures.

During the measurement mode only, communication can be executed.
That is, communication can’t be executed whichever in Function
mode, Calibration mode, nor Fine adjustment mode.
Flow control is not executed in CSD−814B.
CTS/RTS signal isn’t applied.
X flow control isn’t performed.
