Function and operation
7−1. External control input signal, contact output signal
External control can be available through various kinds of input/output signals.
7−1−1.
External control input signal
Activates by shortening with COM.1(terminal No.7).

Name Operation

ZERO
When the display value on load display is within 10% against maximum
display value, zero set function will activate and make the display “0”
compulsively by this operation. (Same operation as key operation in the
paragraph 6−4−2). As for detailed operation, refer to the paragraph 7−9.
②
A/Z
At the same time when tare cancellation(A/Z) function will activate and
load display will become net weight display, “A/Z” on status display will
light, then load display will show “0”. (Same operation as key operation in
the paragraph 6−2−2). As for detailed operation, refer to the paragraph
7−8.

A/Z OFF
Only while tare cancellation(A/Z) function activates cancellation of Tare
(A/Z OFF) will activate. At the same time, when the load display will
become gross weight, “A/Z” on status display will put off. (Same operation
as key operation in the paragraph 6−3−2.) As for detailed operation, refer
to the paragraph 7−8.

HOLD
During inputting the signal, the target selected with Function FUNC−50
among display, contact output, various kinds of optional outputs, will be
frozen and “HOLD” on status display will light at the same time. Refer to
the paragraph 7−6−5. as for the detailed operation.
⑤
LOCK
During inputting the signal, all the key input will be locked(inhibited) and
“LOCK” on status display will light.
⑥
A−SEL
When optional current output and voltage output are installed, outputs
with relative value by “open” of the signal and outputs with absolute value
by “short”. Effective only when setting of Function FUNC−19 is “1”.
As for the detailed operation, refer to the paragraph 9−1−8.

COM. 1 Common for input signal(Terminal No.1～6)
● Operation of input signal will be executed after shortening for more
than 100 ms approximately.
● During HOLD signal input, when ZERO signal, A/Z signal and A/Z
OFF signal(or SHIFT+ZERO key, SHIFT+A/Z key, SHIFT+AZ OFF
key on front panel) are input, operation of ZERO, A/Z and A/Z OFF
will be made at the same time cancellation of HOLD signal is made.
● When the HOLD signal is input with power supply OFF, then power
supply ON is made, the “HOLD” on status display will light, at the
same time load display will be no display. The load will be shown
simultaneous with the cancellation of HOLD signal.
● COM. 1(Terminal No.7) and COM. 2(Terminal No.16) are isolated.
