Number of steps for comparator
As for the steps for comparator for the instrument, whichever 4 steps mode and 8 steps mode
can be selected when this option is installed.
(1)
8 steps
4 steps of option(external) is added to the 4 steps of internals(Standard), then operates as 8
steps together. Comparative results from internal 4 steps output to contact output S1, S2, S3
and S4. Compared results from external 4 steps output to the open collector output S1, S2, S3
and S4 located on this option. Judgement display for internal 4 steps can be executed by
judgement display section on front panel. Status display for external 4 steps can be shown by
setting with FUNC−41 as necessity requires.
(2)
4 Steps
Only 4 steps(external) of this option can be operated (Internal 4 steps don’t operate). External
set value will be displayed on the front panel setting display. Compared results from external 4
steps output to both of contact output S1, S2, S3 and S4 and open collector output S1, S2, S3
and S4 located on this option. Judgement display can be shown on front panel judgement
display section.

Status display in 8 steps mode.
When comparative result from external setting is desired to be shown, set the FUNC−41 to “1”.
At this time, the front panel setting display S1, S2, S3 and S4 will vary according to the
compared results from external setting as follows:
(1) Comparative result ON
− −O N
(2) Comparative result OFF
− −O F

● When the FUNC−41 has set to “1”, setting display for the setting of
internal 4 steps doesn’t obtained.
