Loading condition is clear, but output condition for load cell is unclear.
When existing load detective section is used and only the instrument of digital indicator is used
newly, but the output of load cell is unclear, the calibration should be made after checking the
output value of load cell.
For example, if rated capacity is 5 t and the other factors are unknown, we’ll show the
procedures as follows:

According to the paragraph 7−15., set the instrument in Monitor mode. In this condition,
output level for load cell inputted to the instrument can be monitored up to X.XXX with the
unit of mV/V.

Record the display value on the load display after setting the load cell section with initial load
applied(Tare weight). This value is the output of load cell at the initial load application.

After applying 5 t load on load cell section, record the display value on the load display section.
This value will be the output of load cell at the time of weighing capacity.

From the output of load cell at the time of initial load application recorded in the step ② and
output of load cell at the time of weighing capacity application recorded in the step ③ as well,
output of load cell at maximum display can be calculated according to the below formula.
(Output of load cell at maximum display)
= (Output of load cell at weighing capacity)−(Output of load cell at initial load)

Close the Monitor mode in the instrument.

After setting the load cell section(Tare weight) to initial load calibration, execute the
calibration according to the paragraph 5−2−1. At the same time, input each “5 000” in step 5
and “Output of load cell at maximum display” calculated from

at step 7.

Make fine adjustment according to the paragraph 5−2−2. On this occasion, apply 5 t load for
the “optional constant load”.
