• If the power switch of the SJ-301 is on, the battery will be charged automatically if the AC
adapter is connected.
The battery icon appears on the touch panel indicating the progress of changing. After the
battery has been fully charged, the battery icon will indicate the remaining voltage.

• If the power of the SJ-301 is off (in the auto-sleep mode), connect the AC adapter accord-
ing to step 3.
3. Press the POWER key.

This starts the charging process and the battery icon indicates the progress on the touch
panel. After the battery has been fully charged, the battery icon switches to indicate the
remaining voltage.
NOTE Do not turn the battery switch off while the battery is being charged. The charging
operation will be interrupted.
■ Purchasing a battery pack
The battery’s recharging characteristics will be degraded after a long period of use. Its service
hours per charge will gradually reduce. If the service hour falls insufficient to take measure-
ment with the SJ-301, then the battery must be replaced.
Contact the sales representative from which you purchased your SJ-301 for a replacement
battery pack (Part No. 12BAA688).
