It may sometimes be necessary to change the contrast to improve
print clarity on statements. The contrast control switch (located near
to the paper feed switch, as shown in the following illustrations)
allows you to adjust the printer contrast.

For both types of printer, to darken the image, set the switch to the
Down position. The contrast is increased by applying more heat to
