The cheque acceptor (type 3) is available with a variety of infeed
transports (long, mid or short) and bin options (power pockets or
open bin) depending on the terminal in which it is installed. Also, it
can be fitted in both front and rear access ATMs and contains the
components shown below. Most of the illustrations in this guide are
based on the rear access, long infeed variant. Your cheque acceptor
may look slightly different from that shown, however the following
instructions apply to all variants, except where stated otherwise.
This guide contains the following sections:
● Emptying the cheque bin (capture bin, cheque receiving bins or
open bin
● Clearing jams
● Removing and replacing the ribbon cassette.
