How to Replace the Ribbon

7 Place the new ribbon cassette on top of the carrier, making sure
that the plastic studs on the front of the cassette locate through
the holes in the carrier. Press the ribbon down into place on the
carrier.
8 Gently pull down the metal ribbon guide over the face of the
print head and clip the ribbon carriage mount over the print
head. Make sure that the ribbon is not twisted and that it lies
between the ribbon guide and the print head.
9 Tighten the ribbon by turning the black knob on the top of the
cassette one or two turns in the direction of the arrow marked
on the cassette.
10 Close the ribbon carrier by lifting it up slightly and then
lowering it to its closed position. Press down on the carrier until
it clicks into place.
