WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the instrument,
turn the power switch off and disconnect the power cord before
replacing a fuse.
If a fuse blows:
Disconnect the power cord from the instrument
Pry out the fuse cover and remove the fuse holders.
Replace the fuse(s).
Use only Slo-Blo fuses as indicated below
Fuse Replacement Line Voltage
0.80Amp, (T), 250V 100/120VAC
0.40Amp, (T), 250V 220/240VAC
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the instrument.
If the problem persists, contact Newport Corporation for service.
10.3 Obtaining Service
Models 1936/2936 Series Optical Power Meters contain no user serviceable
parts. To obtain information regarding factory service, contact Newport
Corporation or your Newport representative. Please have the following
information available:
Instrument model number (on the rear panel)
Instrument serial number (on rear panel)
Description of the problem.
If the instrument is to be returned to Newport Corporation, you will be given
a Return Number, which you should reference in your shipping documents.
Please fill out a copy of the service form, located on the following page, and
have the information ready when contacting Newport Corporation. Return
the completed service form with the instrument.
