The capture of the CARD serial can be done from the QUICK REGISTRATION
screen or from the ADD USER - CARD screen.
If you do not have a scanner installed, the code that is printed on the card can be
entered in the Wiegand format with 8 digits or in the hexadecimal format, through
the screen keyboard or a USB keyboard. After this procedure, proceed with the
registration according to the instructions in 10.2.7.
With the USB Keyboard or the Password Keyboard connected to the MG3000
(See how connect the Password Keyboard to the MG3000 in 4.5), enter the Unit
(Apartment) in the “Unit” eld and enter the numeric password with a minimum
of 2 and a maximum of 6 digits. Press the “PROCEED” key to access the regis-
tration screen. After this procedure, proceed with the registration according to
the instructions in 10.2.7
To register the residents’ ngerprints, make sure that the RS485 Biome-
tric Scanner (LN5-N/LN5-P/LN30-ID) is properly connected to the MG3000,
according to the instructions in 4.6. On the ADD DEVICE - BIOMETRY or
QUICK REGISTRATION screens, place the nger to be registered on the RS485
Biometric Scanner sensor and wait for the digital processing. Remove your n-
ger from the sensor and place it again, for conrmation. If the “Biometrics 2”
option in the “BIOMETRICS” menu is congured as “YES” or “PANIC” (instruc-
