Dynamic DNS is a service used to associate the Internet IP (if available on the
local network where the MG3000 is located) to a previously congured host. It is
generally used when you wish to access the equipment (or other network device)
over the Internet and the ISP does not provide a xed IP address. It is also used
when the MG3000 is connected directly to the Internet access modem.
Displays and allows changing data access to the MG3000 conguration page.
Before using this option, an account must be created on the Dynamic DNS Ser-
ver, according to the user’s choice:
-DynDNS: http://dyn.com/dns/
-No-IP: http://www.noip.com/
-DNS-O-Matic: http://dnsomatic.com/
After creating the account, the MG3000 can be congured:
- DDNS Service: selection of the dynamic DNS server;
-Host: address created on the DDNS server;
-User: DDNS account username;
-Password: DDNS account password;
-Status: displays information regarding the connection to the DDNS server.
Displays and allows for changing data access to the conguration page of the
MG3000.
