Dynamic DNS is a service used to associate the Internet IP (if available on the
local network where the MG3000 is located) to a previously congured host. It is
generally used when you wish to access the equipment (or other network device)
over the Internet and the ISP does not provide a xed IP address. It is also used
when the MG3000 is connected directly to the Internet access modem.
Displays and allows changing data access to the MG3000 conguration page.
Before using this option, an account must be created on the Dynamic DNS Ser-
ver, according to the user’s choice:
-DynDNS: http://dyn.com/dns/
-No-IP: http://www.noip.com/
-DNS-O-Matic: http://dnsomatic.com/
After creating the account, the MG3000 can be congured:
- DDNS Service: selection of the dynamic DNS server;
-Host: address created on the DDNS server;
-User: DDNS account username;
-Password: DDNS account password;
-Status: displays information regarding the connection to the DDNS server.
Displays and allows for changing data access to the conguration page of the
MG3000.
