SERVER
In “Server Mode”, the MG3000 waits for the connection of a TCP client (socket)
to perform the data tra󰀩c.
- TCP port: Communication TCP port (standard: 9001);
- Access code: word (max. 15 characters) to authorize the creation of the TCP
communication (socket);
- Enable UDP (broadcasting): enables the UDP port below (standard: disa-
bled);
- UDP port: UDP port for receiving and sending (broadcasting) the data (stan-
dard: 9003).
CLIENT mode
In “Client Mode” the MG3000 searches for a server in the addresses and ports
previously congured.
NOTE: This mode is normally used by monitoring centers and, if applicable,
check with the company providing the service to obtain the correct conguration.
- Post-connection word: information (maximum 15 characters) sent to the ser-
ver as soon as the TCP connection is established;
- Remote host/IP 1: primary address of the listening server;
- Port 1: primary TCP port of the listening server;
- Remote host/IP 2: backup address of the listening server;
- Port 2: alternative TCP port (backup) of the listening server;
- Header (hexadecimal): header (maximum 8 bytes) for the transmitted packets,
with two more bytes indicating the e󰀨ective size of the packet (<quantH> and
<quantL>);
- Footer (hexadecimal): footer (maximum 8 bytes) for transmitted packets;
- Keep alive (K1, A): enables the periodic sending of a packet of bytes to
ensure the TCP connection to the server.
