Color Change Operation
Refer to Figure 5-1 for the feed center operator controls. A color change
sequence is started by turning the Color Change Enable selector to ON.
The sequence is finished or aborted by turning the selector to OFF.
Operator presses Ancillary Equip-
ment Clean Cycle button.
− Constant signal to the system
control panel and iControl gun
mover control panels.
Color Change request signal received.
− Oscillator stops at bottom-of-stroke limit
switch.
− Reciprocator stops at the Clean position.
− Positioners move to forward limit switches.
− Ready for external gun clean.
− External gun clean solenoids turn ON.
− Positioners retract at slow speed.
− External gun clean complete.
− External gun clean solenoids turn OFF.
− Positioners move to internal gun purge
position (tips only inside booth).
− Positioners at internal gun purge position.
− Ready for internal gun purge.
− Constant signal to feed center panel.
Turn ON Color Change switch.
− Lances move up automatically.
− Color Change Indicator blinks.
Turn Purge Control switch to Internal Gun
Purge.
− Lance moves down to purge position.
− Lance at purge position signal.
− Lance clamp engages.
− Internal gun purge sequence begins.
Internal gun purge sequence complete.
− Constant signal to system panel and
iControl gun mover control panels.
− Ready for pump purge.
Turn Purge Control switch to Pump Purge.
− Pump purge sequence begins.
Reclaim pump purge sequence complete.
− Color Change Indicator stays on
continuously.
Color Change Complete.
− Turn OFF Color Change switch.
− Turn OFF Reclaim Pump Purge switch.
− Color Change Indicator turns off.
− Color Change signal turns off.
− Color Change request signal OFF detected.
− Gun movers return to normal operation
mode.
