Chapter 5: Setup
Alarms Enable/Disable Allows you to turn all alarms ON or OFF.
Audio Enable/Disable Determines whether audio alarms will accompany
the visual alarms.
Print on Alarm This icon enables or disables the Print on Alarm feature.
For details, see “Printing on Alarm” on page 5-14.
Particle Alarms The particle alarm setup fields. An alarm limit can be set for each
particle channel. Each channel’s alarm limit can be enabled (1) or disabled (0).
Enabled alarm will activate if the particle count exceeds the set limit. The alarm
limit set to a differential or total count value.
Analog Alarms The analog alarm set up fields. A high and/or low limit for each
enabled analog environmental sensor (Analog data information is set up in the
Analog Data setup screen). Each limit can be enabled or disabled.
Printing on Alarm
This feature automatically prints one of the following error reports when an alarm
occurs:
Print-on-Alarm can be enabled or disabled on the Lasair II particle counter’s Alarm
Setup Screen or on the HTML page. See “Printout and Legend” on page 8-23.
To enable Print-on Alarm:
1 From the Main Display Screen, open the Sampling Setup Screen by
pressing the Main Setup icon softkey.
2 From the Main Setup Screen, open the Alarms Setup Screen by pressing
the Alarms softkey.
3 Enable the edit mode by pressing the Enter softkey.
4 If necessary, press the Enter softkey to activate the alarm function.
5 Navigate to the “printer” icon and press the Enter softkey. The icon will
appear to be depressed below the surface of the LCD display.
