To Enable or Disable a channel:
1 Enter the data table and move to the 1/0 cell for the Analog Channel you want
to enable.
2 Press the Enter key to activate the field. The background around the select icon
will turn white.
3 Press the Enter key again to enable (or disable ) and to move the position
focus to the first cell in the row.
Password and Remote Access Security
The password protection feature enables you to set a password for a Lasair II
particle counter, and then enable or disable the password. A Password can be set
and enabled or disabled from the instrument only.
When a password is enabled, the user is restricted from entering the Main Setup
screen, and any portion of the Sampling Setup screen, except for location selection.
Figure 5-12, “Sampling Setup with Password Active but not Entered. The
Sampling Setup screen restriction is intended to be used with recipes. See Chapter
Table 5-2: Analog Data Setup Screen Fields and Buttons
Field or Button Function
T/rh Enables or disables the optional Temperature/Relative Humidity
(T/RH) sensor mounted on top of the particle counter.
Units (Deg C
or Deg F)
This group box relates to the T/RH field, and determines whether
the temperature readings will be displayed in Centigrade or
Fahrenheit.
Name Enter up to 16 alphanumeric characters for the name of any
additional analog sensor.
Units Enter up to 10 alphanumeric characters to describe the
measurement units that will print.
Scale Enter a scaling factor for the data from the corresponding probe.
Offset Enter an offset factor for the data from the corresponding probe.
A scale of 1 and an offset of 4 will produce an output in raw
milliamperes (mA).
Enable/
Disable
Determines whether the individual sensor is enabled or disabled.
If the sensor is enabled, its measurements will be displayed
on the Analog Display Screen, included in the printouts and the
data record or output, and can be used to trigger alarms.
