8.2 Cleaning and dsnfect

NOTE
If a Masmo Nomolne ISA AX+ or OR+ Module s ftted, refer
to Appendx 7
WARNING
1 Read the cleanng agent data sheet, and the user manual
for all dsnfecton equpment
2 Wear gloves and safety glasses The O sensor contans
a small quantty of electrolyte, classfed as a harmful
rrtant, whch s potentally hazardous
3 Reuse of a non-dsnfected breathng system or reusable
accessores may cause cross-contamnaton
4 To prevent leaks, avod damagng any breathng system
components when dsassemblng and reassemblng
Ensure the correct nstallaton of the system, especally
component seals
5. Disconnect the electrical supply before cleaning.
6. Do not allow liquids to run into enclosed areas or on to
electronic components. Serious damage may result.
7 Pre-use checks must be performed before patent use
after cleanng and dsnfecton
CAUTION
1 leanng and dsnfecton s requred before a new
machne s used for the frst tme
2 leanng and dsnfecton materals
a) leanng solutons must have a pH of 70 to 105
b) Do not use Cidex or a generic equivalent.
c) Do not use organc, halogenated, or petroleum based
solvents
d) Do not use, anaesthetc agents, glass cleaners,
acetone, or other harsh cleanng agents
e) Do not use harsh abrasve cleanng agents (such as
steel wool, slver polsh or cleaner)
3 Do not soak synthetc rubber components for more than
15 mnutes Swellng or faster agng can occur
4 Do not apply excessve pressure to the dsplay screen
8.2.1 Exterior Surfaces
lean all surfaces wth an approprate dsnfectant, on a daly
bass, or mmedately f vsbly contamnated All surfaces,
especally those areas whch are lkely to have been touched
by the gloved hand that has been n contact wth blood
or secretons, wll be contamnated lean at the earlest
opportunty, between patents
Approprate dsnfectants are sopropyl alcohol, or alcohol
wpes (refer to AUTION 2, above)
