Description
3.13.2 Volume Mode
The ventlator delvers a mandatory set volume of gas at
preset, fxed breath ntervals
WARNIN
Do not use volume mode for neonates Use ONLY pressure
control ventlaton (pressure mode) for mandatory
ventlaton of neonates
3.13.2.1 Fresh Gas Compensation
The delvered volume s adusted by up to 60% Ths delvered
volume wll consst of the volume delvered from the ventlator
bellows, plus the fresh gas flow from the anaesthetc machne
fresh gas supply, mnus any complance loss and mnus any
leak Ths gves a total actual nspred tdal volume
An alarm s trggered f the measured volume s 50% above or
below the set volume
Volume Mode Parameters
Tdal volume 20 - 1600 mL
Rate 4 - 100 bpm
IE rato 102 to 18
PEEP ‘Off’ or adustable 4 - 20 cmHO (opton, 4 - 30 cmHO)
Pressure lmt 10 to 80 cmHO
To set, touch the ‘LIMIT’ screen tab area, turn the Navgator
Wheel to select the requred value, press to confrm
Inspratory pause Varable 0 - 60% of nspratory
(does not affect IE rato) tme
Sgh Approxmately 15 x set VT s delvered every 10 to 100 breaths
(sgh to breath rato s user selectable)
3.13.2.2 Select Volume Mode
Volume Mode selected from Standby Mode (1)
1 Press the screen tab ‘VV’ (2)
Volume Mode selected from Pressure Mode
1 Press the screen tab ‘VV’ The ventlator contnues to
ventlate n Pressure Mode
2 The VV dsplay shows the prevous settng, or default
settng
WARNIN
Set approprate values for the clncal procedure n
progress Take note of all on-screen symbols and dsplay
messages
3 Press to confrm change of mode and new settng
NOTE
Pressure lmt (3) wll default to the prevous Pressure
Target value + 5 cmHO
4 At confrmaton, the ventlator wll swtch to VV Mode
NOTE
Volume mode wll commence at the begnnng of an
exhalaton phase
