3.13.4 PRVC (pressure-regulated volume control)
Mode
3.13.4.1 Description
In PRV a tdal volume s set and the ventlator adusts the
nspratory pressure needed to delver the set tdal volume so
that the lowest pressure s used
The pressure range s between the PEEP +2 cmHO level and
3 cmHO below pressure hgh lmt
The nspratory pressure change between breaths s a
maxmum of +/- 3 cmHO
Ths mode delvers breaths wth the effcency of pressure
controlled ventlaton, yet stll compensates for changes n the
patent’s lung characterstcs
PRV mode ntally delvers a VV breath Patent complance
s determned from ths volume breath
The nspratory pressure level s then set for the next breath
