3.8 Gas Outlet Options and Oxygen Flush
Control
3.8.1 Gas Outlet - Single Outlet System
The outlet (1) s located at the front of the machne
The outlet has a 22 mm male taper and concentrc 15 mm
female taper
Fresh gas s delvered to the absorber crcle system (2)
Oxygen Flush
The emergency oxygen flush valve button (3) s marked ‘O+’
Depressng the button provdes a delvery of between 25 - 75
L/mn of oxygen through the gas outlet (1)
Releasng the button allows the sprng-loaded valve to return
to ts normal poston
3.8.2 Gas Outlet -Selectable Open or Closed Circuit
System
The system allows the user to select ether the closed or open
breathng crcut confguraton

When the swtch (1) s n the upper poston (as llustrated)
fresh gas s delvered to the outlet (2) at the rear of the
machne, for connecton to the absorber (3)
The system operates n a closed crcut confguraton
Open crcut confguraton
When the swtch (1) s n the lower poston, fresh gas s
delvered to the outlet (4) at the front of the machne, for use
wth open crcut delvery systems
NOTE
The swtch and the outlet are both llumnated, to ndcate an
open crcut system
Oxygen Flush
The emergency oxygen flush valve button (5) s marked ‘O+’
Depressng the button provdes a delvery of between 25 - 75
L/mn of oxygen through the selected gas outlet (2 or 4)
Releasng the button allows the sprng-loaded valve to return
to ts normal poston
