Description
3.9 Electrical Power Supply
WARNIN
1 The three auxlary power supply sockets (1) are ntended
to supply power only to equpment that forms part of the
Medcal Electrcal (ME) system (see secton 392)
2 Use of a multple socket-outlet or an extenson cord
connected to the auxlary sockets on the machne s
prohbted
3.9.1 Mains Power Supply
The Prma 460 has a centralsed power supply that supples the
machne, the ventlator, dsplay, and absorber and sprometer
systems
NOTE
1 The anaesthetc system swtch (2) controls the electrcal
supply and must be n the ‘On’ poston for normal operaton
of the anaesthetc machne
2 Fresh gas and auxlary gas outlets wll contnue to operate
durng an electrcal mans supply falure
Power Supply Operaton
Always use a mans power supply outlet socket that can be easly
accessed
To solate the machne from the mans power supply, dsconnect
the mans cable from the mans power outlet
Power s fed to the machne va the non-detachable mans cable
(3), to the rear upper panel

3.9.2 Auxiliary Power Supply Sockets
AUTION
The requrements of IE 60601-1 apply to any devce connected
to the three auxlary sockets (1)
Users must be aware of the rsks of ncreased leakage currents
when equpment s connected to the auxlary sockets
If any devce powered by the auxlary sockets malfunctons,
check f the crcut breaker has trpped
NOTE
1 The user must ensure that the total sum of leakage currents
from addtonal equpment plugged nto the three auxlary
sockets (1), plus the leakage current from the machne,
does not exceed the values specfed n any relevant natonal
standards that may apply n the country where the machne
s n use
