3.12.9.2 Fresh Gas Mixture Compensation
The sprometry system compensates for the fresh gas mxture
n use
1 Touch the screen n the area ‘O’ (1)
2 Use the Navgator Wheel to select O + AIR or O + NO
3 onfrm the selecton
NOTE
1 Fresh gas mxture compensaton s dsabled f the
sprometry system s malfunctonng
2 If the oxygen montor (fuel cell type) s swtched OFF, a 40%
O / 60% NO mxture of O + NO s assumed
3.12.9.3 Compliance Compensation
The ventlator wll apply complance compensaton to account
for complance loss n the breathng system n cases where
1 Fresh gas compensaton s dsabled
2 Sprometry s unavalable or dsabled
NOTE
1 For correct operaton the value of the breathng system
complance must be establshed frst, by completng the
ventlator leak-test as part of the Pre-operaton Procedure
2 If the leak test s not carred out, the default value 7 ml/
cmHO wll be used
3 In complance compensaton mode any fresh gas used wll
be n addton to the set tdal volume
3.12.9.4 Altitude Compensation
Ths functon montors ambent pressure, and adusts the
delvered volume accordngly
