External Thermostat
NOTE:
An external thermostat is not required if the Air Temperature Sensor is installed
Freezing risk can be detected by means of a properly installed and set external thermostat. Generally, the temperature setting is in
the range -5°C to +5°C, depending on location of the sensor. Refer to the dedicated instruction manual for your thermostat for full
details. The thermostat is connected to the selected input and to the GND.
An Open or closed circuit indicates a freezing risk; contact action is configured in programming.

CAUTION:
The thermostat does not guarantee the prevention of freezing under all conditions. It may be necessary to
protect equipment in the case of deep freezing and very low temperatures.
Detection of Low Consumables Level
Correctly connected to an input on the PoolCop Power Supply PCB in the CCU and correctly configured in programming, the
detection indicates consumables level low, triggering an Alert. Set the low level switch according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Multiple suction wands (or other low consumable detection circuits) for different consumables, can be connected in series. The first
detector at low level will trigger the alert.

Pool Cover Detection
An external pool cover sensor can be connected to an input to inform PoolCop that the cover is in the closed position.
Programming in the Pool Data menu then allows for adjustment of filtration duration (in ECO+) and water treatments.
Salt System Attention Needed
A compatible salt water chlorination system can use this input configuration to alert PoolCop to system conditions requiring
intervention.
Filtration external start or stop
Filtration can be started or stopped by using an input. This is suitable, for instance, when using a heat pump provided with the
means to start the filtration pump.
