The foot switch does
not respond.
Isn't the handwheel lock tab engaged?
Disengage the handwheel lock tab.

Unlock the foot switch.

Connect the cable.

Select the MOTORIZED Tab.

Window will not open.
Isn't ozone cycle still in progress?
Wait for the ozone disinfection cycle to
complete.
If the window still does not open after the
remaining ozone disinfection time reaches "0",
contact the nearest authorized Sakura
distributor or representative.
The home position
key does not operate.
Is the specimen head at the top position?
The home position key does not operate at a
position where the handwheel lock tab cannot
be engaged. Turn the handwheel to move the
specimen head.

Is the [SECTION] Tab Screen, [MOTORIZED]
Tab Screen or [TUNING] Tab Screen selected?
The home position key does not operate on
the [UTILITIES] Tab Screen or [HISTORY] Tab
Screen.
Abnormal noises
come from around
the
specimen holder
during rotation of the
handwheel.
Follow the instructions below to lessen the noise
although it does not interfere with instrument
operations.
(1) Loosen the vent cap to remove.
(2) Perform the automatic cleaning operation.
(3) Install the vent cap. Be careful to shut out
debris.
If the noise persists even after the above procedure
has been done, turn off the power switch and leave
the instrument for more than 8 hours as it is. After
that, clean water droplets off the specimen holder
and chamber interior thoroughly.

Frozen blocks hit the
blade holder.
Isn't the Cryo3 Object Holder used?
If this Object Holder is used, a wrong locking
position of the blade holder disables correct
sectioning.

The blade holder
lever does not move
smoothly.
Tilt the blade holder lever all the way toward
you. Unlock the lever and pull it out. Wipe
clean the lever and hole using a cloth
moistened with neutral detergent. Rinse the
lever with water and dry it thoroughly.

The blade holder
does not move
smoothly to the
left/right.
Aren’t the rails on which the blade holder slides
frozen?
Remove the blade holder from the chamber.
Dry the blade holder thoroughly by wiping off
water droplet, for instance.
Return the blade holder in
to the chamber after
it gets warm to room temperature.
