The object holder
cannot be secured in
the specimen head of
the specimen holder.
Is debris accumulated on or around the
specimen head setting position and/or the object
holder placement surface?
Clean the specimen holder.

Has the object holder gotten smaller due to
cleaning with disinfectants?
Replace the object holder with new one.
Has the specimen holder lock spring broken?
Replace the lock spring with new one.
In case of emergency, take the following measure
to solve the problem.
(1) Remove the blade holder temporarily.
(2) Confirm the handwheel is locked.
(3) Raise the specimen head locking lever to place
and lock the object holder on the specimen
holder.
(4) Using the nut driver provided for the specimen
holder adjustment, tighten the nut locate
d at the
bottom of the specimen holder in the direction
indicated in the photo below. Then, confirm that
the object holder does not turn.
(5) If the blade holder has water droplets on its
surfaces, dry it before put back to its original
position. Failure to do so may cause instrument
malfunction.
Adjust the blade holder, if needed, before
starting the sectioning.
(6) Remove the object holder from the specimen
holder in the reverse order to locking it.
