DANGER
Do not use power cords other than the one supplied with the products.
If a power cord with unsuitable current capacity is used, electric shock or fire due to short-circuit can occur.
Be sure to use a correct power cord that is suitable for the current capacity of your region.
Be sure to ground the instrument.
Be sure to ground the instrument to prevent electric shock and damage.
Do not disassemble, repair or modify the instrument.
Disassembling, repair and modification of the Polar® instrument must not be done by any other persons
except by our repair staff. If such work is done by any unauthorized person, explosion, electric shock,
equipment failure or injury can occur. These harm and damages may cause the instrument to malfunction
and result in accident.
Do not overload the outlet and do not use an extension cord.
Doing so may stop the operation of the instrument due to voltage drop, or fire can occur due to heat
generation.
Do not operate the switches with a wet hand.
Do not connect/remove the power plug with a wet hand.
Connect/remove the power plug by holding the plug.
Electric shock accident can occur.
Do not use the instrument with incorrect voltage.
Doing so may cause the instrument to overheat, cause electric shock, short-circuit, or cause unexpected
fire, etc. Before operating the instrument, be sure to check the voltage in use. The Polar® instrument has a
voltage switch, so set a proper voltage according to the region.
Do not forcibly bend, pull or twist the power cord or loop it into a bundle, as it may
damage the power cord.
Fire or electric shock accident can occur. Furthermore, do not place heavy objects on the power cord and
store it in a narrow place. Doing so may damage the power cord.
Do not place the instrument in a location exposed to direct sunlight, snow or rain.
Ultraviolet rays and high temperature may damage the instrument. Furthermore, using the instrument while
exposing it to snow or rain may cause electric shock, short-circuit, fire or malfunction.
Do not let foreign matters go inside the instrument.
If water, metal, paper or other object clogs the exhaust port (heat
radiating port), fire, electric shock, injury of the user or instrument
failure may occur. If foreign matters entered the instrument, stop the
instrument as soon as possible and contact the nearest authorized
Sakura distributor or representative.
Also, the hole in the side is exclusively for only our service staff to
operate. Please do not touch this hole.
Do not put your face into the chamber when working.
Doing so may cause a risk of infection because infectious samples may be sometimes handled in the
chamber from the nature of this system.
Do not open the window during the ozone disinfection cycle.
Ozone might leak from the instrument.
[Precautions When Performing Ozone Disinfection Cycle]
High concentration ozone gas is generated in the chamber during the ozone disinfection cycle. High
concentration ozone gas is extremely dangerous. Do not open the window until ozone decomposition
treatment is completed.
* Ozone is a colorless gas with a pungent odor.
In the event that you feel irritation as a result of the ozone exposure, perform the following proper treatment.
• If you feel irritation in your eyes: Rinse with water.
• If you inhale ozone: Immediately move to somewhere else where the air is clean.
• If you feel irritation on your skin: Rinse with water.
• In the case of serious injury or if symptoms do not improve: Seek medical help from a doctor.
