Malfunction Responses of the Monitoring Functions
The malfunction responses of monitoring equipment are summarized in the following.
Description
Malfunction Responses
Depending on the type of malfunction discovered, an indication is sent, a restart of the processor system is
initiated, or the device is shut down. After three unsuccessful restart attempts, the device is also shut down.
The readiness relay opens and indicates with its NC contact that the device is malfunctioning. Moreover, the
red "ERROR" LED lights up and the green "RUN" LED goes out. If the internal auxiliary voltage also fails, all LEDs
are dark. Table 2-16 shows a summary of the monitoring functions and the malfunction responses of the
device.
