This chapter is intended for experienced commissioning staff. The staff must be familiar with the commis-
sioning of protection and control systems, with power systems management and with the relevant safety rules
and guidelines. Under certain circumstances, it may become necessary to adapt parts of the power system
hardware. Some of the primary tests require the protected line or equipment to carry load.
