10.3 SOP Logic Functions
Perfect Harmony drives contain customized programmable logic functions that de󹪝ne many
features and capabilities of the drives. These logic functions are combined into the SOP.
Note
SOP changes must be approved by Siemens.
Examples of logic functions include:
• Start/stop control logic
• Input and output control logic, for example annunciators, interlocks, etc.
• Drive-to-machinery coordination
The SOP is stored on the CompactFlash card. Upon power-up, it is executed continuously by the
drive's run-time software in a repetitive fashion, causing the intended logic statements to
perform their functionality.
