4.8.3 Flux Loop
Regulation of motor ux is accomplished with the ux control loop. The output of the ux loop
forms the magnetizing current command (I
ds,ref
). The default ux loop gains work well for most
induction motor applications. For synchronous motor applications, use lower gains. Flux loop
gains require tuning when the regulator output shows signicant oscillations during steady
state operation.
