4.5 User I/O
The ber optic user I/O board (user I/O is also referred to as internal I/O for backwards
compatibility with NXG systems) is designed to be the external customer interface connection
into the drive control system. Each user I/O has:
• 16 digital inputs
• 20 digital outputs
• 3 analog inputs
• 2 analog outputs
The user I/O are all contained within one board. Up to four user I/O can be connected together
to increase the number of I/O that are available for use. A single ber optic user I/O board requires
a power supply capable of +24 VDC (+/-5%), 1 A at 50 °C at a minimum for board function, any
I/O power requirements are in addition to this.
The external WAGO I/O system may be included in certain applications but is not included in all
systems. This uses a dedicated serial interface connection on the MCB. Refer to Section Discrete
External I/O via WAGO System for further information.
