Where the following are present, the platelet count may be
reported falsely low.
- Platelet aggregation
- Pseudothrombocytopenia
- Giant platelets
Where the following are present the platelet count may be
reported falsely high.
- Microcytosis
- Fragmented erythrocytes
- Fragmented leukocytes
- Cryoprotein
- Cryoglobulin

Where the following are present, the reticulocyte count may
be reported falsely high.
- Erythrocyte aggregation (Cold agglutinin)
- Giant platelets
- Platelet aggregation
- Fragmented leukocytes
- Malaria
- Howell-Jolly body
11.3 Interface protocol
Data can be output in various formats via the serial interface
or via the TCP/IP network interface to the HOST computer.
For details, contact your Sysmex technical representative.
11.4 Program version
To check the current program version, select “About XE-5000
(A)” under “Help (H)” on the Information Processing Unit
(IPU) menu bar.
