Reel Motor
Removal and Installation
See Figures 4-50 and 4-51.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)

NOTE
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
2. Remove screws (1) and motor controller cover (2),
and disconnect reel motor wire harness connectors
(5 and 6) at the motor controller.
3. Remove three screws (3) and reel motor (4).

4. Remove coupler (8) from reel motor shaft (7).
Installation Notes
• Install reel motor by reversing the order of removal.
• Coat the reel motor shaft (7) with grease that meets
or exceeds NLGI Grade 2 LB specifications before
installing coupler (8).
• Do NOT apply dielectric grease or any lubricant to
reel motor harness connectors.
