Reel Control Unit
Removal and Installation
See Figures 4-64 and 4-65.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-5.)

NOTE
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
2. Remove screws (1) and motor controller cover (2),
and disconnect reel motor wire harness connectors
(3 and 4) at the reel control unit.

3. Cut cable ties (8).
4. Remove four screws (5) and one internal-tooth lock
washer (6), and remove reel control unit (7).
Installation Notes
• Install reel control unit by reversing the order of
removal.
• Do NOT apply dielectric grease or any lubricant to
reel motor harness connectors.
• Use new cable ties.

Dielectric Grease (Jacobsen PN 365422)
